Project Description

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Library/Classroom Building, located at the West Charleston Campus, Las Vegas, NV. The general library/ classroom facility serves the varied academic programmatic needs of the rapidly growing college campus.

The LEED sensitive design of 78,100 square feet features 24,000 square feet of library space, which includes an information commons for book and periodical searches, circulation and reference desks with work support rooms, document areas for special requests and micrographics viewing, student study rooms, library administrative offices, and general seating areas dispersed within a 13,000 square foot, two-story periodical and general stacks areas, with a north facing full height glass curtain wall system.  Other spaces of the building include a coffee shop with interior and exterior seating, a 120 seat lecture room, 2 classrooms with full audio, video, and data connectivity, and office space for the dean’s administrative staff.  The exterior highlights and exterior finishes consisting of E.I.F.S. and sandstone veneers following suit with the standard color palette for the West Charleston Campus.
